I accidently found your site as I was looking for information on
unemployment benefits.  I am currently seeking new employment due to the
fact the President of the company I work for is a heavy smoker.  I feel
that my health has been affected in the workplace - present and past.  I
have an office job and I am not familiar with all the laws relating to
smoking in the workplace.  I feel that it is a no-win situation and must
move on as I have done in the past.  These are all privately owned small
companies and although I have voiced my opinion and requested better
ventilation, nothing has or will ever be done. I am a single mother who
cannot afford to be without a steady income but my health has to come
first.

It is a cause worth fighting.  Nobody has the right to pollute my air.
I have stopped going out to public places because I find there are still
too many smokers.  I won't go out with friends who smoke anymore, I
refuse to date a smoker.  It has become unbearable to me and very
uncomfortable to be around smokers.

I feel it is nothing but a weakness and insecurity that people have.
